National ICT Roadmap for Bangladesh

In 2008, the CS Transform team led the development of a national ICT Roadmap for the Bangladesh government. The scope of the assignment covered five major workstreams: Empowering Citizens, Transforming Public Services, Growing the ICT Sector, Enabling the Market, and Leadership & Governance.

Activities included:

• Research on existing policy initiatives and programs related to ICT development in Bangladesh
   

• Market analysis
  
  International best practice research
   

• Extensive stakeholder consultations
   

• Development of a prioritisation framework to ensure that future action focused on highest impact initiatives
   

• Detailed implementation planning
   

• Stakeholder engagement to secure widespread agreement on strategic priorities and implementation plans
   

• Development of a benchmarking and evaluation framework to track implementation of the Roadmap.
