India’s first Wireless City: Pimpri Chimchwad

Pimpri Chimchwad Municipal Corporation aims to be the leading e-Municipality in India, and its first “Wireless City”.

Before proceeding with its investment plans, PCMC commissioned the CS Transform team to develop a full benefits realisation strategy.

The assignment included:

• Strategic Risk Analysis
   

• Stakeholder Engagement
   

• Business modelling
   

• Development of benefits realisation strategy for Wireless PCMC, based around the concept of “Doorstep Government” - including e-Government multi-channel service delivery, via kiosks, walk-in centres and web portal
   

• Recommendations for redrafting the e-Government Request for Proposals (RFP) being prepared by PCMC, which led to the procurement being significantly refocused – from “technology provider” to “transformation partner”
