One-stop government in South Australia

Ministers in South Australia set an objective of achieving a one-stop, multi-channel access to government services. The strategy to achieve this was called “Ask Just Once”, and was based on the franchise model developed in the UK to deliver the Directgov service.

The government used the CS Transform team to develop the top-level vision in the Ask Just Once strategy document into a fully articulated and risk-averse business and channels architecture, with a government-wide implementation plan.

The assignment included:

  • Best practice review

  • Stakeholder engagement

  • Strategy development

  • Business model and channels architecture

  • Delivery roadmap

Commenting on the assignment, the government’s Programme Director, Jan McConchie, says: “Everything that the team at CS Transform said would happen has happened! They are extremely good at handling government people, as they know government inside out themselves. We have successfully used their roadmap to implement their detailed delivery model and have learnt a lot from working with them.”
